Each internship is designed for people who want practical exposure to government relations, policy, commercial diplomacy, communication or project work. These opportunities are normally unpaid and are expected to form part of a recognised education course, university programme or approved training pathway, depending on the applicant’s country and institution.

What you gain

Practical exposure to government relations and commercial diplomacy.

This is suited to people who want hands-on experience, not a passive placement. Interns may work on policy monitoring, market research, stakeholder mapping, event support, outreach, client documentation, social content, fundraising research or project coordination.

The work is remote, but not vague. You need to communicate clearly, manage your own tasks and produce work that can actually be used.

Internships are normally unpaid and must usually be connected to a recognised course, degree, training track or similar approved pathway. Paid work may sometimes follow, but only where the intern has demonstrated clear value and there is a real business need.
